I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Put your differences a side for the day , treat your kids with some respect, be there for them, Like them or not they are our children and too many of them get the dirty end of the stick. They didn't ask for the crap they have been handed and at times may feel as if things are their fault. Be there give them love, understanding and don't bash the other parties involved. Becareful of your actions for you may lose them for life, and the BIG LOSER will be you. AJJ
Some don't get it I'm afraid and yo are right - theeir actions may lose them their children for life. I hope not - as a mother - it is and has been my priority since the start of this whole damn thing that their father be there for them and support them - because he is their father and at one time he was the greatest at it - somehow he lost the will and desiire to continue on - and with that - I honestly feel sorry for him - because they are the biggest gifts in life he has been given!
