Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
OLD HIGH SCHOOL GIRLFRIEND

My old High school girlfriend requested to be my friend on Facebook. I guess she probably heard about the divorce and the last I heard she was divorced also. I haven't stayed in contact with her at all through the years, its funny because my wife was jealous of her when we first got married, and acussed me of having feelings for her. I was always close to her father and went to the same church with him he told me he wished she had married me. I at first ignored her request but then decided to accept, as I was looking at her photos and post I realized what a hard life she has had, and she looks 15 years older than she really is. This is the girl that I loved so much at the time and I thought I could never live with out. She broke my heart in a million pieces when I found out she was also cheating on me seeing another boy, just like my wife. But I sat and realized if this girl would have stayed with me and we would have married, her life would have been so much easier, because I'm a giver and I always made sure my family had what they needed before I got anything. But like my wife she wanted something else something more exciting and as a result she has lived a hard life.I really don't know why I'm saying this other than it may take some time but our exs will eventually pay for their decisions time will take it's toll on them. I found out the other day that my ex had to take a second job because she couldn't pay bills. She never had to do that when I was with her. I just hope this is good ole karma starting to work it's magic.

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

I reckon most of the people here are givers, too. sometimes one can give too much without expecting enough in return. Balance gets our of kilter and when that happens, something's gotta give. I think one of the lessons I learned is not to do all the running in any relationship.

Not only "givers" give too much , but often through divorce, "givers" realize they are taken advantage. Ever hear the story of the beautiful pig with a gold ring in its nose who shows no/little discretion? Let this be a lesson knowing to WHO we give our precious jewels and gifts!
