Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Hi my name is Michelle I was married for 26 years the last six not really good. Before that I thought we had a great marriage. That is until I found my ex cheating on me. I can't tell you how devastated I was Did much crying and soul searching and told my ex that I would give him this one chance but only if he was committed as I would accept no more cheating g and if he did It would be over. He agreed but what I didn't realize was how hard it would be to trust him again. So therefore five years of hell with bouts of happiness but mostly not good. Then I had a car accident a bad one. He didn't even bother to come home (he was working out of town) that was when it really hit me that he really didn't love me anymore. Then at Christmas I fell down the stairs he didn't try to help me. He was supposed to be home all week but says he has to go out of town a few days for work. I knew it was bull. He went to see his girlfriend which I found out later. So he left me at home alone when I couldn't even move from the pain. Anyway I found condoms in his bag before he left and they were gone when he came home but I didn't say anything I was waiting to leave but waiting to get disability anyway I moved out and he immediately moved in with his girlfriend. I just hate him so much for everything here I am not well on my own cant work and have to depend on him to pay me spousal support which I hate. I have heard through my lawyer that my disability is approved but I still do not have anything. So I moved about 31/2 hours away to close to my family it's been about a year now and I e tried a few dating sites which suck the men just want sex not a relationship so I gave that up. I would really like to meet some new friends here but that is not easy either. Any suggestions or anyone live in London Ontario that wants to talk. Thanks for listening.

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

My wasband was an alcoholic and a sex addict, starting with porn and lastly escalating to hiring prostitutes. As soon as I found out about that, it was the end.
I too worked on our marriage for years, 8 or so, while he fought his addictions. At the last, it was patently obvious, like yourself, that I was the only one working on it. One person cannot make a marriage work, so it was time.
It was devastating, emotionally, financially, psychologically, but I'm still here. I have a home, I have food, I have serenity (thank God I left the drama behind with him!), I have family and my sanity. I'm stronger, wiser and more compassionate for having gone through this. You will be too.
Come here as often as you need. The people here are awesome and supportive.
Again, I'm sorry you have to be here, but you're very welcome.
My ex is a dry A life was fairly good for 18 years then
It became very bad for the last 12 years. The marriage
became toxic. I did everything in my power to work on
It. He refused and kept on with his nastiness.

Happy you found this group! It's been a year for me after 30+ years, he had checked out a long time before he actually left, I just didn't want to see it. I am happier and healthier than I have ever been. I still have crying bouts too. Divorce care, therapy and this group helped me. Also I joined Meetup which helped me get out and do things and meet people.
that near me and its mostly outdoor stuff that
I see on website.
Divorce care helped tons www.divorcecare. org

I did the Rock and Worship Roadtrip through a Meetup group, also going to NYC with another one. If you plug in your interest it should bring up groups to match.
And looked thats it so far.
