I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

My Job Interview

Thank you to all who send well wishes!!! I went for the interview at my rheumatologists office today. I think it went very well!!!
I met with the office manager who is a doll. She is a single mom of 2 (her kids are my kids age) and she was so understanding and we ended up talking about a lot of personal things. She has been down this road we are on years ago and she said she feels better now than she ever has!!! How inspiring!!
I was thrilled to find out that they want to train me to do bone densitys and ultrasounds. I have a medical background and would love to learn that skill.
The only bummer is that it is not too close to my home but with this job market...WHO CARES!!!
Not alot of money to start but more than 0 which i make now. She will call me next week with details. I am optimistic!!!
To those who are looking for a job....I went for my reg dr. appt. and came out and asked him to hire me!!!! Thats how it all started!!
It can happen!!!

I love the positive attitude I'm hearing in your post - taking the negative and turning it positive. Thank you all. I just wrote a "thank you for the interview" letter which is something i have not done before. its pretty basic saying why i want to work there and to thank them for their time.

One thing I was told - for you job seekers - is to get a generic card printed with your name and address and phones and keep them on you. I did this so I could hand them out in these types of situations. Might help job seekers, might not, but worth a thought!

    I gave my 2 week notice last Friday 13th. Now to join you fine people in a life of leisure and nothing else to do but to look out for myself....is it just me or does that sound pretty boring? My goal was to live to retire and I guess having to take early retirement because of health reasons wasn't exactly the way I had planned things. I just can't stay in that building that is reeking mildew...

    I'm trying to exercise daily. I was doing fairly well until I sprained my ankle 2 weeks ago but now I'm getting back on the horse. Today I walked over a mile with my arm weights that are about 22lbs total. I was out of shape and it was hard on my arms. I also did my 30 situps. I'm also going to drink a lot of water and try to eat healthy. I do tend to have a sweet tooth but I'm cutting...
