My son got married last month and he and I were anxious about how his father would be - would be narcissistic as he always is, or would he behave himself? He actually did behave - I believe I said 3 words to him. I was the "better" person and approached him. He does not speak to me & has not since he moved out almost 8 years ago. I actually appreciate that I don't have to interact with him - only through the lawyers. He sat far away during the ceremony and seemed to have trouble being anywhere near me. It was as if there was a restraining order! I guess he was uncomfortable - ask me if I care. He is the one that wanted out thinking the grass was greener. He did me a favor - I didn't realize it until he was gone
I wanted to make sure that I was in a form-fitting dress and looked good. All of that happened - boot camp did the trick. I danced the night away with my family & my son's young male friends. The most important thing is that my baby boy and his new wife enjoyed themselves and no drama occurred that day.
It was the sweetest revenge, I must say to look good in front of my ex!!
