I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Hi Everyone,
I'm finally moved into my new apartment in sunny San Juan Capistrano California. I feel like Goldie Locks lol. My apartment is just right for me and I finally am at home after feeling like a fish out of water for the past fourteen years. I'm in a senior community and am probably the youngest tenant lol. I've already been invited to join a bridge club by my neighbor who is a 90+ year old beautiful lady who dosen't look like she's over 70 has the most beautiful garden and still wears makeup. Truely an inspiration. So are many of my other neighbors. I love the area and I know in my soul I am in the right place and will be just fine living on my own again. I had one moment of sadness when I first moved in but it went away quickly and I haven't had one since. Whatever level you find yourself in on the emotional rollercoster of divorce ect please don't give up hope things will get better for you down the road if you open yourself up and you will find happiness again.

I am so very glad that you shared this with us. There are so many here who are still waiting for resolution so that they, too, can move and move on!
That thing about being the youngest in a "senior" community reminds me of something my Dad used to say. "When you start to feel old, start hanging around with older people!" Works for me!
