I wish you all the best holidays as well... I just wish I could get out of this funk I am in, but no matter what I do, I can't get into the spirit... he (the stbx) is always there. If you read my journal, you'd know a bit more of what I am trying to say, but let me not spoil this post any further....sorry.

Same with me nulife. I'm sitting here alone and all my family is at his family for their Christmas eve party. Trying not to be upset just a little sad. My stbx life goes on with OW just deal. I'm hoping for all those good things in the next year. Tired of nights crying myself to sleep and his life goes on and mine just seems to be at a standstill. Hoping for all those good this to happen in the next years. Wishing everyone a Happy Holiday.

Well, my stbx is still living here, he doesn't know yet that I will be serving him the papers next week. Our life has been empty like this for a long while now, but at first I didn't know why... and holidays were never very pleasant with him anyway. He is an atheist, so he doesn't participate in holidays and he has an excuse not to participate in anything else either, he is just existing not living..... So what is difficult for me at this present moment is seeing him just sit there like a lump, it is just him breathing the same space as me that is getting on my nerves and I just want to scream and tell him already that I know he has been carrying on with another woman, in fact several... I wanted to just say don't you have some womans house to go to??? I wish he would, because I am so done with this man. I know I could be going out tonight and be with friends and the christmas thing, but I feel like the past few weeks and dealing with the anxiety of coming to terms with the fact that I will be filing for a divorce after 27 long years ....and on top of that the holiday's crept up on me, it has all snow balled on me and I am mentally and physically drained, so here I sit in my bed, with my chai tea talking to you gals...

Patti101... I know how you must be feeling, but just because he is with someone else, doesn't mean that you have to stop living either... it sucks that your family is at his family for the holidays...why so? Are your children younger, not sure of your bio. Will you be spending tomorrow with them? If so, that is good. Right now our lives seem to be at a standstill but it's not, it's just a grieving process that we are experiencing right now...and this too shall pass, as will the holidays....Just know if you do the work you have to in order to move on as a happier more independent person, your new year will be a whole new beginning for you.... and you do have that to look forward too...and I do. That is what is keeping me sane right now, even though I am experiencing the holiday blues... I think we are sad over the fact that our lives are not what we want it to be right now and that means we should do the work necessary to change that. Here is to next year!!!!!!

I knowwhat you mean.... Same here for me... They're all over by the x Sister in laws.............doing what we did for the last 38 years......with our me... I have to hold back the tears. My freind is over....... I might have to g oin the garage for a little bit...

Thanks Azuca. As for the rest of you who are feeling left out, I was glad today when I did NOT have to join the ex and his family. I'm spending tomorrow with my two kids and their kids....without him and his sneakiness....how great for me! Several years ago, my daughter was crying on Christmas Eve, she said she looked over at her dad's new wife and felt it should be ME with them. I reminded her that I no longer wanted to be a part of him and his family and was sooo much happier even though I had no money. Hang in there for those who haven't reached that point yet. I do understand your feelings because I did miss my ex-fiance's family; but not him. His mother was the 'dream come true mother-in-law', but he was like his dad; not her....very controlling and would've made my life a living hell and even a pastor told me that after he insisted we go for counseling.

To nulife, a little anger is good it will help you move on. And you will. Hang in there.
