Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group

I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

I wish, but too soon. I will have to start a little savings now for the next get together. I sure hope some of you can make this, though. Bet you will have oodles of fun! :)

wish i could go.. I am in the midwest.. anyone interested in meeting here..They had a few in Chicago a few years back..All we need to do is plan it.. How about some little island somewhere,, drinks with tiny umbrellas,just dreaming..

Actually, I've told Kathi I can take pics and bring them east. Well, the Midwest isn't too far either. Several get togethers would be great!

ok.. so we would all like the Island if we could.. now a bit of reality.. we really should try to plan something or a bunch of somethings. I wish i could make the one in Montana.. I still have my son then.. or i would be there.. a change is good.. we should figure on a place that has cheap tickets to get to.. i am sure we can rent a cabin or hotel and get a deep discount if there are enough of us. common folks.. put our heads together.. I am needing it and i am sure a lot of others are too..

Have awonderful time! It would be great to see some DS friends in person. I feel so close to people on DS, I have to remind myself that I've never met them face-to-face.
I'm on board for a get-together in the Southeast. I'm in Florida, so if we're thinking of islands, the Florida Keys are supposed to be nice. Believe it or not, I've yet to get there.
Remember--it's warm here most of the year--just saying!

I'm in SC and there is Tybee Island in Ga. Myrtle Beach. Anyone want to pitch a tent in the middle of my farm.

How wonderful it would be -- wish I could join you. I'm in the midwest and teaching summer semester. I'd love to on another get together. :) Post pictures. Many years ago I spent a few summers working up in Yellowstone and it holds such a special place in my heart. Enjoy! Cat

OK, well officially we are meeting in West Yellowstone at the Wild life reserve at 9:30. It will probably be just the 3 of us plus a friend of mine from here. I'll keep you posted.
