My stbx has a "friend" and before he moved out, we had problems because when the cell phone bills came, it listed all the numbers so I would see exactly how many times he called her and she called him. Because we had just renewed our cell phone contracts, in order to get out of the plan we would have to pay the outrageous fees so even after he left he stayed on our family plan. Eventually I guess he got tired of me bringing up his communications with her and got himself another phone. So last week he gave his phone to my daughter. He has had his new phone for a couple of months but has never given me his new number. When he gave my daughter his old phone, I just KNEW he wasn't going to give me his number and when he called he would use a different phone so his number wouldn't come up on my caller ID. But I had hoped I would be wrong. I wasn't. He called today... from another phone. I hung up with him and then called him back (couldn't help myself!!!) and asked him if he was trying to keep his number from me. Of course he denied it, what else I expected I don't know. I actually do have his number because my daughter had to call him the other day and neither of us had the number so she had to call his "friends" daughter (my daughters friend too) to get his number!! I don't know how my daughter felt having to call her friend to get her own dad's phone number but it royally pissed me off!! Why does he have to be such a jerk?!? It seems so crazy because I don't call him unless I absolutely have to, I don't stalk him, I avoid him as much as possible but when he moved out he didn't give me his address and now this phone number thing. WTH? And yet I still miss him!
