Of course it must be such an emotional time. Here for you dear. I have wondered myself about not going to court on the final day. Sure it must be easier to not have the face to face, yet not the final farewell. And then to wait on the papers. As Chrissy said when is the exact date? When did my marriage end? Well as we that are there going through this it ended long ago we just haven't gone to the funeral yet. But even then the grief is still there. Endings=Sad. You have to go through that.I am sorry for you and all of us here. And like I told Nanc it ended (Marriage/Life) but you didn't Get to get the divorce. Stuck in divorce/separation mode with no emotional validation. We have to go through it and our lives are changed because of it. But as said before your life does go on and you have the chose now to take the path to become a happy independent lady or bitter unhappy person. None of us wanted to be here yet......

We were scheduled for court on April 8. On the 7th his lawyer called wanting to settle and not go to court. We'd agreed 3 times before and he changed his mind before the papers were drawn up. On the 7th the only thing different was he refused to pay my lawyer costs. To keep from going to court HIS lawyer agreed to pay for MY lawyer. That confused me, but I suspect his lawyer realized he has a nutcase for a client. So for the last month they have been getting the paperwork in agreement. The judge is 200 miles away so they mailed him the agreement to sign off on. Thanks for the kind words of encouragement.

Yea I'm in California and we don't have to go to court. They just mail you the papers. I guess the court systems are backed up with all the divorces. And with your doctor, you never know who has problems now a days. Good Luck to you.

I, too, wish you peace in your new life. I didn't have to go to court either. I received my papers in the mail within two days and my lawyer's assistant called me the day of court to let me know it was all over and done with. I don't think I would like it very much if my x lived across the highway. Sending you hugs and many happy thoughts!

I guess I wasn't very clear. HIS doctor is the one in rehab. After he put the ex on cymbalta the problems started. I tried to talk to the ex and the doctor,but no one would listen to me. Well, the doctor listened the first time and said what I was describing was definately a side effect. He lowered the dosage and sent the ex into withdrawal--so THAT was my fault. When the ex complained he upped the dosage again even after I called and explained what was going on. Oh well--not my problem anymore.
