Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Close to a year. I know How much I have grown in my separation and that is all credit to this group and the wonderful members here. Love you each and every one!

Perhaps that's why I am at a bit of a weird place right now. First holidays, birthdays, etc. - done. First date - done. First major purchase - done. First vacation - done. Its really not about "getting over" him anymore. Weird. all in good time, I suppose.
Thanks hun! Great thread!!!! You are awesome!!!
Big hugs everyone!
AND when you truly move on, are divorced and living your life, a new life emerges, one with a new timeline, new beginnings, new anniversaries. Divorce can be that, a new start, not just a bad ending.
Chrissy, my wish for you is for you to be where I am, a year from now, for I was divorced in April of 2008 and you will be amazed, a year is a good time frame, and although that time you were getting divorced but yet legal, is also a passage, being divorced, all legal and final will really set the anger and past free.. Luv to you, Big Hug
I saw your post title about Father's day. For what it's worth, I did'nt wish my x a happy mother's day, but I did decide to email my Girls a reminder, tho they probably didnt need it. You are doing great and are a blessing to our Group. Thanks for all your care, support and Sage advice over the Year. Hugs to YOu.
I'm not divorced yet, so I still feel like I'm in limbo, but I know I can take care of myself.
I do hope to be where you are, MsTerey. It's good to know that you have moved on. That is what I wish for all of us.
