Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
"I'm in transition" has been such a common phrase for me that I was at a party last week and one woman who i had just recently met introduced me to another woman, and woman '2' said to me "Oh yes, I heard about you. you're in transition right?" Hilarious!
So I've come to a place of acceptance about my transitional state. But writing it out makes it sound so clinical and complicated. It just IS at this stage. Enough said :)

For me, I'm just glad to be smiling again, for the most part anyway! It was a long way to get to the 'vantage point' described above - and feeling 'empowered' to reflect and sort things out is something that I'm working on.
And acceptance? I'm part way there....
