Not me. We were happily married for 29 years when he left. Actually a month shy of that. I had no warning. Did I ignore things. Probably. When he came home crabby I just did more for him. I was an idiot. I never suspected another woman. I thought it was pressure at work.

Sorry - me either. My ex came back three times just to leave me again for the OW, who he is now living with. But if there is no OW, you may have a fighting chance... keep up the faith. Don't make the mistake I did though, if he decides he'd like to reconcile - YOU lay the ground rules out - counseling, couples and individually. I was too afraid of him walking out again to put any demands on him, and he walked out again anyway. Good luck to you.

I have spent the last few weeks hoping for reconciliation, but now I have to wonder, how I could ever forget this pain. Yes people hurt the ones they love, but he is showing me things about him that I either didnt see or chose not to see. So for me, there is no going back. I dont trust him

We reconciled only to part again. We were seperated in February 1 day after our 30th anniversary. Sorry, it probably isn't what you wanted to hear, but like they say everyone is different, hopefully it will work for you.

I'm sorry to say that it didn't work for us either. We were married 24 years and he did have a couple of affairs. I was willing to forgive when he asked to reconcile but it only lasted a few weeks and he said he just couldn't do it. That said, I DO believe that reconciliation can occur if both parties are willing to change, go to counseling, forgive and choose to love each other every day. I'll keep you in my prayers that things will work out for you. I believe that staying married is the way to go, if at all possible, unless abuse is involved.

I started the separation process after 23 years Will I rreconcile NO. Because I do not trust him. No ow but his mother and sister. They never let him grow up. I know that you are hurting right now. But if he can do it now what is going to stop him from doing it again and you go through the pain again. Do you really want to live with that man. Controlling and emotionally abusive. We are trying to reconcile, however, Im in so much pain, not sure If I will ever get past it. Im tired of everything always my fault, blah blah blah, and the other women, pffft can kiss my ass, hope she falls of the earth.

I have hoped for a reconciliation since this nightmare began and if he said he wanted to work it out, I would probably try, but I must say that he has said and done some very emotionally abusive things and made me feel as though he hates me and that is besides his love for the OW. He says that haven't slept together, but the fact that I know he loves her is worse! I honestly don't know if I have it in me to forgive and forget all that has happened! I am so hurt and doesn't understand my tears...thinks they are "weapons"...WTF...He crushes my heart and I am to be as happy about it as he is????? Well, I am not! Part of me hates him for all of this. I cannot walk on eggshells for the rest of my life, but I am struggling with filing, too!

I hope you can work it out, but remember to take care of you! If it is going to work out, great, if not you need to care for you. I will say, we lived together for over a year and he hid and talked on the phone and just left me wait on him kissing his ass and empowering his ego, which he certainly did not need! I was stupid!

I'm still in limbo. I know I need to file for separation but can't make myself do it. He's cheated on me for at least two years with the ow but says it's over. Would be since he got caught, Huh? He's had other affairs in the past. Just found out this as well. I get a sick feeling whenever he's out of sight, thinking he's probably with her. I don't trust him and know I never can again. My counselor says he's using me and will cheat as long as he is physically able. I, too, never thought this could happen to us.

After being married for 32 years and she decided to drop the bomb on me, I hoped that she would come to her senses and gave her every chance to do so. She would not and just got closer to her 'girlfriend'.

At this point I have to say there is absolutely no chance of a reconciliation, I don't care if she come knocking on my door a year from now. How could one be sure that one wouldn't just be going thru all this shit all over again at a later time?

Nah, no way, no how. I'll find a woman out there that can appreciate my love and what I bring to the table. She had her chances and blew it.
