I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Holidays can be tough or they can be wonderful. However, you are spending your Thanksgiving, I wish you peace and love today. Remember family comes in many sizes and shapes, often good friends are family too. Whichever path you are on today, you are on my mind. I am sending you love and support.

I live in Canada and we have already had our Thanksgiving. I had dinner with my son's GF's family...wonderful people...and yes...my ex was there too! We actually sat side by side....I even spooned some brussel sprouts onto his plate...go figure! Hang in there everyone...it truly does get better. Concentrate on building new traditions. I've been with my oldest and his family (my younger two sons are with us also). Met my new grandson (2 mos old) and had fun with my other grandson (2 1/2 years old). Depression is majorly kicking my butt today as we head home as I knew it would. I figure I'll feel bad til mid-January but I'm determined to have more good days than bad.

Even when I'm not on here much I think of you all often, especially during these holidays

Guys, you are always on my mind. I get so much support and love here; I couldn't make it or have come this far without my friends on this board. I think of you guys all the time. Guess what? We made it through. We survived. Soon we will be better...Today, I am dreaming of having my own home, so one day I can cook. I love to cook and experiment with recipes. When I can I will take a cooking class and who knows? finally yoga! One step at a time, my friends...By the way, I make an awesome spicy shrimp and peas and my mango salad should win a prize!
