Stop this talk. It is one day.. enjoy the time off from work. Do something productive. You are feeling sorry for yourself. I have no one to help me shovel or do anything, although I do not have a disc problem! I snowblow.. I have to figure out a way to do things. Reach out and call someone else.. see if they are ok, and I do not mean him!

This will pass, but you have to work at it. A reality check for me is that if he was here, what would it really be like. I tend to remember the good times.. the reality is that it might have been a bad time.

You can do this.. I am off today and believe me since I got a job I enjoy any time off.. Hugs

We don't have a storm today, but it is COLD! I don't want to go out, if I don't have too. I too, just want to curl up in a nice warm blanket and read or watch a movie - it's cabin fever for me I think. Enough already. It's been too long of a winter. I do see some of my bulbs coming up, though. And, next week the clocks go ahead again. Yeah! When the weather starts to change, I'll be complaining I have too much work to do around here. I guess I'll just "flow" with it for now - but it is getting sickening! Chin up girlie pants - you'll get through the day and on to the next! Love ya.

Look out for some neighborhood children to shovel or if you see a neighbor with a snow blower offer to pay them. They'll never take your money. When my boys lived here they did the single people and the elderly. Good luck.

Yup I hear you though. I feel like it sometimes to but just remember your own words that this will pass. Hey spring is in 2 1/2 weeks. Tommorrow will be different and we do understand. We all have those pity parties, just don't stay there to long.Big WARM Hugs!!

At one point I was the queen of pity-parties. There are some days where we just need to feel sorry for ourselves....the trick is to know when to pull yourself out of it or have good enough friends (like those here on DS) that say enough....get off the pity pot. It's that tough love thing even though you're not in the mood for it, it usually works and then you're glad it did.

We are with you no matter what sweetie. Good days, bad days, up or down days, snow or sunshine, we will be here. This is the one place you can always find solace, support or just a friend to listen.

You know tomorrow is a new day and you will face it with your face in the sun (or snowflakes) whichever occurs and you will be glad that today is over, the pity pot is put away for another day and it's just time to keep moving forward. You can do this because you already have.

Hugs and love (and a warm blanket for your feet). I pray you wake up tomorrow with a brand new attitude and zest for your new life, snowflakes and all. :)

thanks everyone...i do know i invited myself to that pity party...maybe i just needed a good cry...at least that isnt a daily event (or hourly!) anymore. I also failed to mention that i weaned off my anti depressants so i may be adjusting to that..i had gained 15 pounds in 3 months on them!!!! not good!! i am going ot try to clean out the ole bod and see if it is still capable of making the serotonin on its own!! might be rough but i cant afford a new "big girl" wardrobe!!!

A good cry is aways in order! Have your pity-party but make it short, sweet and productive! At the end of the grand event, give yourself a gift. Watch a movie with a funny and/or inspiring ending, go shopping and buy a cute, girly dress, or go to the gym and start working on that seritonin! Make it a memorable pity-party, the kind you won't mind having again! Lots of luck and love your way!

By the way, we got that snow storm this past week and I thought about the ex-spouse - yeah - complaining about the miserable weather in Minnesota! So, I grinned as I sat quietly in traffic for two hours and said to myself, "Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!!!"
