Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

feeling good after church this morning. message today? the truth shall set you free. well I guess stbx will never be free cause he doesnt know how to tell the truth. Oh wait. he does! just "his" version of it. for some reason that isnt the right version. go figure.
plus he talked about the divorce rates in our country. way too easy to just say "I'm done". at least it is for some. wasn't for me. when I pray I tell my Lord that he knows I believed in marriage being eternal. but he had other ideas. No God but ex. guess we weren't on the same brain waves at all during those 29 years. guess a lot of those years we were on different paths.
I was reading how men find it so easy to just reason why they cheat. reason it out? are you serious? I told my MIL once that there is absolutely NO reason to cheat. If you aren't happy that is what talking is for. He did all the begging when i brought up divorce. I did all the backsliding. I honestly believed god gave me him. but that was my reasoning. and it proved me wrong. but hey we learn right? and I definitely learned it the hard way. but learned it I did. Ok. part of me wants to send him that passage in the bible to read about truth we read today but I won't. he wouldn't understand it anyway. he would change it up to say it is what he is doing. listen butthead. you have to walk the walk if you plan on talking the talk. unless i get lucky and you trip on the way. lol sorry my bad!
ok gang of friends.. it's 2 weeks from tomorrow til court date. Hope it gets done on that day cause I am so so tired of all the dragging on. I will do my utmost best to be strong as hell that day. I definitely plan on no emotions (visible ones anyway) being shown in front of ass on that day. I think (and dearly hope) that both sons and their gf's are going with me. moral support. and maybe my sis and a friend girl. Hey my side of the galley should have people representing me don't ya think.? I told them it was up to them. Just don't really want to go in on my own. I am tough old cookie most of the time but this is a major event in y life and I need them all.
plus all the prayers from here. all the support is awesome. I know most of my posts are back and forth from depressing to angry to "hey life's good". some call it mood swings. I call them life's moments.

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

"A person may think their own ways are right, but the Lord weighs the heart." I thought that really answers his "truth."
BTW, the verse I was looking for was Matthew 7:6.
hope all had a relaxing holiday
I have always believed that the truth will always surface to the top of all the lies.
I went to court all by myself. I had some anxiety pills that I broth with me .
Guess what .no tears .didn’t need the pills .
When you have nothing to hide you can hold your head up high.
You’re going to do just fine ……….
God be with you
Have a good night.

You've done fine so far -- keep it up. As far as having your side of the courtroom full of supporters...I had plenty of folks offer to sit in that day, but I declined. My sister came down from PA to be my support person and that was plenty. By the time we got to court (after 18 Months of Hell) it was pretty anticlimactic. The only person I really needed that day was my fine attorney. And, of course, GOD, who sat right next to me.
You will be fine. Don't expect your feelings to completely settle with the final decree, though. It takes a while even after that. Be patient and be gentle with yourself. You can and will do this. We're all here to support you. xoxo
All the best in 2 weeks time. Long prayers.
love and hugs
