Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
I'm healthier now than I have been in many years. I hope the same is true for you. In many ways, I'm learning that my divorce was actually a blessing in disguise. Sometimes I think we look so long at all the bad things that come from divorce that we don't always see the good things.
I wish you many good things and happier and healthier life.
Kim
Thanks and same to you.
Yes, it is true for most. I lost about 22 pounds although I really was in the normal range. But I lost 2 sizes and have kept it down for the past 8 months without trying. I think the stress and worry keeps my metabolism up. I still need to get motivated to exercise and eat healthier. When I do that I will consider myself a healthier me!
I know it is not easy at all and at times it is so painful but we are not alone. Aren't the people on this forum the best? They have helped me so much. Keep writing and you will get through this.
All the best,
Donna
I looked like I felt,
Strangely exercise worked for me, workout to exhaustion made me sleep a bit then hungry a bit.
Still too skinny, but on the mend

Down to a zize less then 36. For me that was great. I remeber
putting on a pair of 38" shorts and they sloped down.
I couldn't. Believe it.......... I wasn't watching my weight
Or paying any attention to it. It was just a surprize to me
NOW ........again married. For almost 3 years.... I gained everything. Back
and more.
.I'm. Trying
To loose a bout 25 more pounds. NOW, Iwould behappy
To stay under a 38. Lol.
I wish you well.

I used to say you can never be too thin or too rich, but losing too much weight too fast and under duress is very VERY bad for your health. My bone density went from ok to terrible in that 18 months and unfortunately, I haven't been able to rebuild it. So be careful on the "divorce diet" -- if you can't eat, get some of that Ensure stuff and drink it so your body can function.
Big hugs to all xoxo
But.... a broken foot and 3 months off your feet can teach you to be lazy and remember how good junk food tastes... as a matter of fact, I just returned from a leisurely 20 minute bike ride and got winded!!! I am SO out of shape... and that 10 lbs? If anyone is looking for it - you can have it back!
A vanilla hulk.
