I haven't. It's been almost 8 months. I'm religious and need to be divorced first. Actually, I should never be divorced.

I'm just not ready and am not interested and want to heal myself first.

Yea, I ran to an old high school boyfriend. BIG mistake. I thought he felt safe and familiar. It was the same BS I had in my marriage. I guess the fact that he'd been married three times or so should have been a red flag. It would be nice to have a course in re-introduction to dating in middle age. I'm clueless, obviously!!! I agree with sld1...healing ourselves and getting to know who we are is vitally important. Watch out for the guys who want to be your knight in shining armor!!!! Very seductive!

when i split i thought if i could find someone then all the pain will go away.And it did for a while it took me 5 months b4 i met him,big mistake i wasnt ready and when we split about 5/6 weeks later i was back to square 1 ive had a few friendships since but nothing serious im at a time in my life now where im happy to be alone,the man i went with at first has remained a real friend we go out for lunch now and again.When i was married i never had male freinds so its all new to me and u no what its fun.

I am like sld, divorce is an option in my church but once married always married until death do us part. You can divorce but not be with a man as long as your H is still living. I am struggling with this. Don't want to be lonely, but don't want to go against God.

I do think about what is would be like. As much as I think I may want to try it I don't think there would be a man out there that could live up to what I am looking for in a man. After being with my EX all those yrs I know what I don't want that is for sure. Feel sorry for the poor bastard that would get me.

I am not divorced yet. Unlike my stbx I took my marriage vows seroiusly so I won't date until my divorce is final. I have asked my stbx to not bring any women around the kids until we are officially divorced. I feel I deserve at least that much respect. He said that should not be a problem but you never know.

I'm with sld1 and 1women. I, too, am religious and divorce is ok because of the adultery, but like 1 women said, "once married always married until death do us part." I'm pretty much ok with that as I don't think I would ever remarry and this took so much out of me. I read somewhere that if you feel comfortable with yourself and have a good relationship with God then you will never really be lonely. When I do feel lonely I think of that and it seems to get me through. Faith is such an important thing to me and I know I would not have been able to get through this without it. I try to always put in trust in Him and know he has a greater plan for me.
