Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group

I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...

Cheers to the mothers, the mothers of our children, you have the thankless job of motherhood...and for one I want to THANK YOU for being the best mother that you can be.....THANK YOU for being that constant person in their lives.....You mothers just don't get the credit you deserve........So be good to your self today ...everyday and you have one man's respect and gratitude....again THANK YOU

I agree....I even called the stbx today to wish her Happy Mother's day.....she is the mother of our kids and as such I give her respect for that.

My ex has never honored mothers day since the day he left his family. So I think that bustedheart is a stand up guy. Way to go. Very honorable.

Busted .... I wondered if my X would think to call the mother of his children today (me) and wish me a happy mother's day, but I guess since I'm not his mother he didn't feel the need. I think it is very honorable of you to acknowledge the mother in your stbx. Old school is the right school as far as I'm concerned. Good job.

I had a great weekend ..thanks so much!! My daughter flew up from Fla. and my son came home from school!! It was my first Mothers Day w/o him and it was fine. This is one holiday that has absolutely nothing to do with him and it will now be my favorite!!!

Thanks gentlemen - truly gentle and felt! My former spouse didn't like to acknowledge mothers day - he always said I wasn't his mother. And many kudos to you Jack for being a double, triple gentleman to you ex!
