I just finished reading "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings" by Maya Angelou. My friend Nancy sent it to me after she arrived home from her visit. I was particularly struck by the following quote and know that is something I must internalize to keep healing as I have real difficulty surrendering to this change in my life. Hope it helps some of you too.
"...life has taught me undeniably that surrender, in its place, was as honorable as resistance, especially if one has no choice".
