Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
Today, I'm thinking about all who have helped me through this difficult year and how thankful I am. You guys are pretty close to the top of that list. I thank you for your guidance, your support and most of all, your patience. I feel a little reluctant about saying Merry Christmas, because I know that for many - including myself - it sure doesn't feel that way today. But I''m focusing on all the good things that have happened this year, the people in my life who have gathered around me and lifted me up, and mostly, the chance for a more peaceful existence in the future. Thank you again for all you have done.:):):)

I had gone to the grocery store. When I wheeled my cartback to my car I just stool there a minute. A few spacesaway a Tesla Cyber truck was parked. I had seen it on theroad a few times for a few seconds. But not close up.It looked like it belonged to 2126 and not 2026. I wasgoing to take a picture of the car but the owners cameback and drove away. It was an ordinary middle age...

My daughter and I went to see the movie Unbroken yesterday. I found it quite moving, crying through most of it, watching what the main character endured, such unbelievable hardship and yet - somehow - he remained "unbroken." The fact that it was a true story made it even more powerful. The guy just passed away this year. Although not nearly on the same scale or to the same degree, my year has been like that. But, I'm still here, limping along emotionally, but I'm still here, unbroken. I absolutely lost it when at the end of the movie, they said that the main character, despite all that had happened to him, had FORGIVEN his captors, realizing that to remain hateful and angry was only hurting him. I'm not ready to forgive just yet. I think that takes time. One of these days, I hope to be able to forgive my H for all of the trouble he's caused. That will be a wonderful day.
