Yes, it is just a phase. It is amazing how draining this process is. Take the evening, rest, watch a movie, take a nice bath. Get your strength back.

Yes, the pressure is unrelenting

Times like this I just do nothing...do what ever I feel like if it's crying I gona cry if it's getting waisted in my comfy house I will pull out my red wine...if I am feeling to sleep until the following morning will take a sleeping pill and sleep like a baby..dont let all those important stuff stress u it can wait no one will divorce u again...as u are already!! so chil my girl do what ever u wanna do...the life is our' s now!!

Oh yes, I went through that, but I had to force myself to finish things. You are being too hard on yourself. Things will still be there is you just sit back and relax. I have a mountain of things to do but, they can wait too. Taking care of yourself is so important, now more so than ever before.

Eegads at 8 months, I felt like I was still getting nowhere...I finally got sick of it and turned my attorney loose on him at the 9 month mark. It took ANOTHER 9 months to get the divorce finalized and MY financial settlement demands met. I had to get on an anti-anxiety/anti-depressant for the last three months of it -- which helped tremendously! Better living through chemistry, you know.

The whole process is just exhausting -- physically and mentally -- that's why so many of us old-timers keep saying "be gentle with yourself" and "be GOOD to yourself." You'll get through it and we're all here to support you.

Cowg, when you say you turned your attorney loose on him, do you mean that you filed for divorce and went to court? I'm so fearful of that scenario.

Interesting that you mention medication. Was just thinking about that. I know it would help with the anxiety I feel, especially since I'm doing all this pretty much by myself without a very strong support system. After all the publicity about depression last week when Robin Williams tragically committed suicide, I now think I may have depression as well. Im usually in good spirits but I read something last week that really made me wonder. It said that depression doesn't mean you're not ever experiencing happiness. It's more of an ongoing lack of vitality, and energy to do things, an underlying low level of despair. I always thought that I was just kind of lazy but maybe it's depression. So, maybe I should look into that. I have severe sleep apnea, which I struggle with nightly because I HATE my CPAP mask, and untreated sleep ap can can cause depression so it bears looking into I suppose. Ugh, I don't want to be on meds. The last thing I need is another expense on slowly decreasing income!
