Divorce after Twenty years together Community Group
I want to start something for those of us that were married for a long long time. I think that we face a little different issues than those who were dating for a few years or even married for shorter period of time. Being married for so long we have older children some have grandkids dealing with teenagers and their reaction to the divorice empty nesters dating after 40...
all I can say right now is "wow". when you think you are at your deepest, darkest moment then all of a sudden "wow.
I just got text from my DIL. it was a 3d pic of my grandson. My very first grandchild from either of my sons. Oh my word!! am I bawling? of course! Am i happy? of course! Now when i have those down moments I can pull these pics up and cry for a legitimate reason. Nothing in my past compares to what I see now in my future.
Kamary hold that head up and if you need to cry then by all means cry! But always remember. what we have gone through and are still going through (cause mine isn't done yet) is nothing, absolutely nothing, to the miracles God has yet to give us. We hurt because we cared way more than our narcissists did. But that makes us a better person. not a weak one.
If i could share this pic I would with you all. just proof that God does make miracles.and he is always with us. Why would this happen to me when all else seems so disappointing? because he knows its part of my salvation to a better me. praises to my Lord!!!

I had a somewhat similar experience just yesterday.
While my stbx has been doing his best to tear our family apart and try to get the kids to side with him, I have every confidence in him that they will, in time come to see his lies.
But back to the point. Yesterday my DD and SIL sent me a pic of their new puppy. Oh so adorable and as close as I am to grandchildren at this point.
Definitely a bright spot in my down day as well.

now you can start to buy cute baby clothes ..... and hats........ and sleepers ... and all that good stuff. Ha-Ha.
The other problems will work thier way out ........

Shopping is so much fun and there is so much stuff that they need that wasn't available when our children were born.
I know you will be the best grandmother this little one could ever have. Grandkids keep us young.
I have three darling boys under five who live close by and who come running when they see Nanny :) I am so truly grateful for their unconditional love and innocent presence in my life. In fact, I've just arrived home after spending a few hours laughing, playing and cuddling, as well as chatting with my now well and truly reconciled dear daughter. Just what I needed:)
So much fun is ahead of you :)
