Not enough sunshine. I've been down too and it's rained all weekend. The sun hasn't been shining down on me very much and that will always put me in a down mood.

I like to put on music that makes me want to dance, and then I do.

Sometimes little things trigger the sadness. I've had those times in church too. You are doing the right thing in dealing with it--pamper yourself and be gentle with yourself. When I have days like this, I also like to veg and pamper myself. But I also promise myself to have a better tomorrow.

I opened my curtains wide for the little bit of sun I could get. Cold and calling for snow tonight. Ok it's the end of march so where is spring? Lol !! My days have been very positive lately. Yesterday was day out with friend shopping. (Ok just groceries but I was out. Lol) she and her hub keep me very uplifted. So a downer was unexpected. Dealing with it. Thanks gang

I expected some depression for me this week-moving, my visit to my grandson ending, my youngest going to see his assclown father.
But, boy my butt has been kicked. Almost to the point where I can't function.
We will be OK, and this too shall pass. I cried all through church yesterday-haven't done that in a long time.

This is the time to be kind to yourself. Having a pj day is okay. The down days just hit sometimes with no explanation. The good thing is, it will pass and the sun will be shining again and you can enjoy it all.

Some weekends I stay in my jams all day. Lately that is. I get all jazzed to go out and dig so I can put in my tulips and it friggin snows!!! Last week I was running around without a sweater even. Saturday was dark and dreary here. Yesterday was better. Sun was shining but it was still cold.
But I have noticed since coming on here that when I do go out on the weekends I seem to take more care to what I am wearing. Usually I just go grocery shoppin in sweats, but now I seem to be paying more attention to what I have on. Weird huh?
I definitely have my crappy days too. I think it must be a part of the process.

You are gonna have this from time to time, but you must give yourself permission to grieve. Go with the feelings as they come up and then you will be better able to let them go. It's a process and the timeframe for really growing beyond it is different for everyone.

My only word of caution is that IF these days become persistent and you find yourself hibernating or unable to function on a normal level you should seek professional help. Your doctor should be able to determine if some short-term medication may help you get over the hump.

Just remember that it takes time, distance and minimal (preferably NO contact) to truly move beyond divorce. My thoughts and prayers will be with you, my friend. xoxo

I agree. It helps sometimes to grieve,but don't get stuck in it. Think of pleasant things and that will help you get through the "down" feeling.

thanks all. it was just a day. Kathy, I do have meds but rarely take. I work thru my moods. think it was start of migraine. I get them occasionally. or weather thing. who knows but today I am fine. still migraine (tho small) but otherwise ok. I talked to my youngest son (not so young, he's 24) and he felt like talking about his dad. not good talk about him but talk,. I listened. felt good.
I did speak to atty today too. she is stuck on this land thing. pretty sure there may be monies involved stbx was trying to hide. Not counting on it but it sure would be nice if he has to pay me more than he thought. and we found it out BEFORE the final divorce went thru. that will hurt him. he's such a sneaky a**

It took me a long time till i totally quit have divorce related blue days completely! Hang in there, Great times are ahead :)

Glad you're feeling better, nohappy. Hope that migraine is gone soon. So good to hear you've caught your stbx out before the divorce went through. Yes, he's a sneaky a** and it's good to know one has been caught redhanded.
