i've lived with alters and others all of my life and my newest therapist just doesn't respect me. but he is my last hope for conversations, having run out of funds on my own and having no choice but to find funding thru the feds. in the beginning, he ws interested and concerned and now he just seems bored with me. he's given them ultimatums, saying he thinks i'm endangered by some of them who aren't taking care of me any more, and is threatening to call in what is called here in the US adult protective services which would likely take me out of my home and put me in some rest home. crap. the way things are here with no shrinks or therps left in the area, because the services won't pay them enough for them to live and take care of their own families, the good ones all move to the cities. that means i had the last one for over 9 years, he knew all of us, he respected us. then his wife and kids made him choose to move to a city where he could support them better. so now i have this new one and he's kind and compassionate and trained in all aspects of domestic violence (including family violence and abandonment) but i think he's grown tired of me. seriously, he's making noises about turning me into adult protective services unless the others start "taking better care of me". i am so depressed. it's not as if i can round everyone up and just have an intervention or something. i guess i can just stop seeing him but then i will be completely alone with no outside contact at all. i am so isolated and usually happily, but he's making me feel so not happy with us any more and scared he could actually do that to me. i think he's doing it because he doesn't know how to help me so he's handing me over to others but it would mean i would have to leave my home. i don't need that, i am not that bad off--he is just scaring me to death. betrayal is imminent. i can't talk to him. :(
