I have not been formally/ technically diagnosed (cannot really have that stigma or label--for many reasons), but have seen multiple professionals who all believe that what I do suffer from is a form (or multiple forms) of dissociative disorder(s). I suffer daily, with some days being better/worse than others of course, but overall has been a disruptive aspect in my Life. So much so that other mental issues (i.e. OCD, EXTREME depression, extreme anger/frustration/aggravation, PTSD) and have arisen (and have started to wreak havoc and strained my relationships routinely). I have felt isolated, alone, misunderstood, and casted off as being overtly emotional and sensitive, and "should not feel this way," considering, and made to feel guilty for feeling this way. I understand that sometimes the manifestations don't arise until much later in life, and although I have ALWAYS have dealt with mental issues all my life, it was not until recently that it has started to come to fruition fully, and allowing myself to process and understand that it's stemming from past trauma(s) that have been lost to me (and I cannot recall along with the rest of my childhood & past). I just want to understand, cope, and manage what's happening to me, and hope that in doing that help others that may be going through similar situations. Here's to finding help and Life. ♡
