I have indeed felt judged by being low income and disabled. Some women are reluctant to date you, or treat you like you don't exist. Of course, they try to be polite about it, but once you tell them you are on disability they never call back. I'm an intelligent person with a college degree with a respected university, but low income lesbians with disabilities are often looked over and ignored. My disability certainly has limited my dating prospects. Although I have arthritis, bad knees, and a history of major depression, sometimes I can pass as not being visibly disabled. That is, I'm not in a wheelchair, so it's assumed that I'm not disabled. I've had women come right out and ask me what I do for a living, and how much money I make. I'm almost ashamed to tell them that I'm on Social Security Disability. Disabled lesbians are definitely at a disadvantage.
I try not to let it get me down because I know that I still have a tender and caring heart and I'm bright and witty. Still, it feel like a kick in the gut sometimes to be judged as not worthy or second best.
I know where you are coming from. It's like if you don't have a real nice car and a good job you're invisible.
