It can be a royal pain to get approved. It depends upon the quality of your councillor, the judge and how severe they consider your depression. My suggestions make sure you have a VERY tight relationship with your councillor and that you go over the reasons you have difficulties holding a job and when you do have one the challenges that you face. I am hating the stigma of being disabled, especially since my mother has accomplished so much in her life I feel I should be able to do the same.

My brother is trying to get on social security the judge was a jerk becuase he needs some kind of outlet to help him let his anxiety go it happens to be thc.

Yes, I think I read that you wrote that about your brother...and I responded with everyone else and said....for him to stop for a little while...and to get a lawyer.

I have more than depression going on...other health conditions - going for an MRI on brain today.

But, I was wondering since SSDI seems to be looking so closely at my depression, ptsd, major depression, anxiety, social anxiety and generalized anxiety and insomnia.....if anyone has only been approved for psychological reasons.

I DIDNT WANT 2 DO THAT.
I HAVE SUFFERED FROM DEPRESSION/ANXIETY SINCE 1986.
IT MIGHT B CAUSED FROM MY INOPERABLE BRAIN TUMOR.
I M NOW DRAWING SOCIAL SECURITY.

The MRI might actually be good grounds for you. They need to test how well you are good at memorizing things etc.

Well, the MRI is coming at the close of my case...I don't know if my lawyer will even get it to SSDI....in time.
They could deny me and then it could be used in the reconsideration stage.

So stressful
