But thank you for the link.
Once accepted (and I believe that it will happen for you), they know the original date of the application, it is on their records and then Social Security becomes a source too, for getting copies of original documents with dates, for what some other agency may need, in the future, for other help, for you.
The wait is nerve-racking, to say the least, and debilitating for your mental, physical and emotional well-being; all the reasons you need this to begin with!
And the key word is "need," and everything is factual and signed by "professionals," (the people with the credentials to verify). The truth of your needs will shine through and you can focus on your health. The running around and doing what they have asked, you have done. Breathe and have faith.
The first long term disability claim (that I currently receive benefits for)....thru insurance at my work. They kept asking me for more documentation. One day I snapped at the guy in the e-mail and said...THAT IS IT....don't approve me...I don't care...I have given you everything I am going to give you and everything I am capable of giving you at this time.
2 weeks later I got a notice I was approved....I was SHOCKED. This affords me 65% of the pay I was making in my previous job monthly...Which at the time I was snapping at him...I had never even ASKED what the benefit would be. I could not even live without that money right now....So, yes....that is the biggest thing....working thru the red tape in the condition I am in......MRI today....I'm exhausted....but it is necessary to continue with the testing....2 reasons...to find a source of many conditions and to appease SSDI.
My lawyer thou...is not making me happy....but I will be happy if we win.
She is out of office constantly....this is important for me to get this MRI information to SSDI and diagnosis..
She promises a 24 hour return call time...and she never calls back - its usually 48 hours.
