It was a moment
a split second of revenge
on the lips of a broken smile
I watched the accusation
flutter in the air
I felt the innocence disappear
as the truth took flight
winged warrior of deception
landing on the frozen glass before me
my reflection dazed and confused
searching for any sign of self recognition
it was there in the dark shadows within the eyes
a brief flicker of life
