Six months ago my son died. He was 45 years old. He died at his place of business, a scooter shop. He had stayed alone after hours to do repairs on the mopeds of customers. An employee found him the next morning. I was called to go to his shop to take care of things. I waited with the police for the coroner to come. All the time knowing my son's body lay in a back room. I couldn't bring myself to look. I had seen him a couple days before. And I never saw him again. I relive that so much in my mind. I can't get past wondering if he was in distress and nobody was there to help him. Maybe if other aspects of mylife were better I could get past all this. But I cannot. I know I am not alone in my hurt.

It's been almost two years since you wrote these words. I am so sorry you've been dealing with this all on your own. I have been here at DS for several months and only now found this group. I think my brain is still pretty mushy. It's been this way since my oldest child died last Christmas Eve. I'm coming up on that one year mark and it still hurts. It's not as raw. The pain isn't as sharp if that makes sense. I hope you are still around here some place. I'd love to talk with you more sometime. Gentle hugs from one broken hearted momma to another. xx Hilda

I know my user name MaeB doesn't match my name that I signed with but this is a very old account of mine and I didn't use it for literally years before I came back here again. Mae is my middle name. I just got so tired if being called "Little Hilda" because I was named after my momma.
