Dealing with Sociopaths and Narcissists Community Group
This group is for anyone who has a narcissist or sociopath in their life. It is meant to be a place to express feelings related to having people like this in your life and to learn and share coping strategies in dealing with these types of individuals.

I have known this person for almost 20 yrs now, but I was so ignorant on what a narcissistic sociopath was, I didn’t realize what they were until recently. It all makes sense now, but it doesn’t make it any less painful.
The first and biggest step is realizing what they are. After that it’s much easier to heal yourself.
You are not alone. Your decisions matter and are important. You don’t need his influence in your life.
Take care
You are right that true friendships will stick with you through the good and the bad. I have learned that lesson the hard way.
They’re are many reasons why they blocked you that you may not even know about.
“What bothers me is the “learned your lesson” part. You shouldn’t b treated like a child by your friend and that is something you say to a child. That wasn’t right.
You say you were going through a tough time? Was there something said that hurt their feelings or were you blowing up their phone with wanting to talk about your issues?
These questions are none of my business and only you can answer them. In my opinion though blocking someone’s number is pretty extreme.
You just have to ask yourself, “is the friendship worth a second chance?” I hope this helps. Keep me updated if you wish :)
I would never say anything to hurt their feelings. They know that their happiness is my ultimate happiness. The whole "Did you learn your lesson" rubbed me the wrong way as well as the blocking of the phone. And then just to text me and tell me that they've unblocked my phone now and can contact them if I want to......then just in the last hour asking me if I'm still alive and still local....I'm just hesitant to reach back out.
What is the point of surviving if your not happy?
