I can see how it would clean you out... tons of fibre! Losing weight probably because it would be low in calories and low in sugar and carbs
As it is summer here now - not that I am noticing it as it is cold enough for a fire - I will note this and try it out in the winter when it is colder.
If any one has tried it or tries it would be very interested to hear if it works as I know my immune system could use all the help it can get anf weight loss is a permanent battle (has been all my life so nothing new there..........LOL)
It might be an acquired taste though I haven't heard of black mushrooms, and suppose you get the seaweed in the Chinese shop
Brewing all this amount of veg up and then not being able to stomach it would be a pain
I have heard seeweed is good for weight loss.. something to do with metabolism. Kelp is the same thing.
I like home made Scotch broth in the winter, with lots of barley in and chunks of lamb.
I suppose you need to have a large family to have the inclination to go to the bother of making home made soup.
We get cheap chicken bones so we usually use that as the stock and then add any vegetable around the place that I feel like putting in. DH loves it especially when I have tomatoes to add.
