It says "painful" and granted, I've only been doing this for about six months, but mine do not feel painful at all.
Of course, I do have a "favorite pinky" that bleeds on contact, so I know that I have to start using other places than that one pinky...
but it makes it so easy! Will I end up with a callous on that pinky or what?
Don't know about wearing something near my ear, as I am sensitive to everything - glasses that sit on my ears, collars around my neck, can't tolerate a 'turtleneck' AT ALL.... all sorts of weird stuff.
If I do wear jewelry on the rare occassion, I have to take it off just as soon as the moment comes that the 'occassion' is over.... my skin feels really sensitive to it, and the 'weight' of even a lightweight necklace or bracelet feels like it is choking me, or a has a vice-grip on that area. I used to wear jewelry a lot when I was younger, but hardly anymore, though I do enjoy how the little 'add ons' look to an outfit. Oh well, just weird me.
I am like you Safe, nothing on my neck I get chlostophobia or how ever you spell it.Hardly wear anything on my neck or ears now. Mostly too because afraid of jerks ripping it off you nowa days!!!
It won't make the test strip makers happy though!
