Hope that it is OK though as it doesn't sound quite right to me.
My sugars haven't drop much. My sugars are now (13.1) I ate Ham and 2 fried eggs and 2 toast 5 and a half hours ago.

You are still doing really well. It was probably the bread that kept your sugars up and had nothing to do with the insulin. I would try less carbs and just see what happens.. just an idea .
Joanne I was on NPH insulin pen to start with. It was nice and didn't hurt at all. But I guess it didn't work right for me and they switched me to the Lantus pen. It comes already filled and does not need to be shaken. I did ask my doctor if I could get another kind and got a flat out no. As for the injection site, I was told to inject it in my fatty area. My belly is the only fatty place on me. My arm, legs and butt are weak muscle.
As for the bread, I think your right. I am working on finding other affordable alternatives. I have switched to 100% whole wheat bread for now. Due to family distractions, this took me an hour and a half to type. lol.
Thank you both. Have a smile on me. : )
I found some bread that are 100% ww but are called thins, They are smaller, but two pieces are about the same as one slice of regular whole wheat, so your carbs arent as much. Either that or only have one piece of bread and see what happens.
I hope your family distractions are all gone now :)
I will look for that thin bread. To tell the truth, I really don't like bread much, but there's little choice. My biggest problem is most of the food goes bad before I eat it.
I give my belly button a 2-3 inch birth. My belly button has been sensitive since my first baby.
Got 2 go.
TQ Sue.
If you dont like bread, there are always crackers, brown rice, miracle muffins are really good, pasta of all kinds. Just make a macaroni salad and keep it in the frig for your carbs. I love that :)
My puppy does that too. That is how I got this gouge in my leg lol Mine tried to get the ceiling fan.. stood on her hind legs and tried to jump at it.. too funny
thanks, Sue
sorry it took me so long to answer back.
Smiles for the day. : )
