It was a wonderful day, good eats, good treats and talking to family all day. I wish it wouldnt end. Just a cut from her last reply on the canadian thanksgiving wish... gawd i miss u jo.. love you to pieces

I found myself praying for your family although I remembered it is not Thanksgiving in Canada and you didn't have the Pilgrims although I was made to think of you all while I spent time with my mom, brother, sister, neice although I saw my dad, and my other brother brother which all meant a lot. I am glad I can remember all of the love, compassionate words and encouragement from Goldlilox, that blesses me a lot.

Thanks for posting this Cherie. I kept thinking of Goldi saying it was okay to forget your diet for one day if you didn't overdo it. I thought of how thankful I was to have shared a friendship with her.

you are welcome chesty.... its still hard... i am still in disbelief... Lee has been calling my mom.....and for that I find huge comfort... His mom my step mom was all he really had.. Jo loved my mom too as she was the one who took her teddy bears and flowers or whatever I needed or wanted to give to Joanne over the years. My mom was there for both Jo and I. Joanne would call my mom on a whim just to say hi. I dunno..just seems so wrong she is gone. I love you jo... forever and a day.... may you rest in peace and in our hearts forever....

I loved your sharing, it's been very easy to think of her as your mom and Goldilox said she had a daughter, son and grandson, how are her son and grandson doing now? I hope they are doing well or better. I am not trying to confuse anyone here, but what your sharing is not news to me from what I knew about her, she was the kind who reached out to others and this was how she was so this is NOT a Gomar Pyle Moment.

Thank-you for sharing about the stuffies, you call them Teddy Bears, but I have only one Teddy bear, it was at the library and it said 'My first Teddy' and they let me adopt it, what a blessing that is to read this.

To hurt and cry shows your still alive and your heart is beating, but life is not all sweetness and cream and it's not all good although I try to be grateful for the good things and Thank God for them when I remember. This does not take away the pain, but crying is good for the soul and heart, so you can enjoy life more.

I meant to say it's not all bad, I try to focus on the good although I have to deal with the not so good.

What a wonderful tribute to a wonderful lady! I too miss her every day. Sometimes I think I should send Jo an email then remember she is gone. But I do give thanks she is not suffering anymore, she was a gift in all of our lives.

Golilox is not gone, just like those other treasured friends of mine and my cousin who aren't around, they are in my life although she would tell us to not be sad or upset, since that's bad for our health and blood sugar so she would encourage us to focus on the good times and show the same love we did for her to others which does not make 100% sense to me, but it is likely what she would say, I hope no one dropped out.

Thank you vernon for the kind kind words. I still struggle daily. She was an amazing lady. SO kind beyond belief. You are right she had a son and a grandson and I am her step daughter. My dad is doing......thats pretty much it. Its all he can really do right now to cope. Lee has reached out to my own mother. I am so blessed as is my mom. He calls her and they talk. My mom was able to enjoy some of joannes wardrobe. The calls letters and cards have all stopped but our pain hasnt. Its just an earth shattering time in our worlds. All i keep telling me mom through my tears are I cant believe shes gone mom. I cant believe shes gone. My mom simply replies I know cher I cant either.. But I know Goldi is shinning down as my mom takes her only baby under her wing for her. Hes a father and a grown man but we all need our mom no matter how old we are. I am the luckiest girl in the world to have had the best step mom ever and still have the best mom as well... Goldi used to always giggle and get great joys out of saying yanno Jos....If it werent for keith I know we would be the bestest friends there could be... that was their little joke hahahaha.. I was so blessed to love such loving souls in my life. they both shared the same qualities... now instead of two I am left with one and I miss Jo so much.... well thanks for another rambling of my mom.... we are are ok...and coping.. but the pain is oh so real and raw like it happened minutes ago... xmas is gonna be hard...she loved it so much.. their wedding anniversary is coming up in a few weeks too....very hard pills to swallow comin up.... hugs to each and everyone of you...
