But will give them a try with my bacon and eggs.
Vernon you watch al of of movies and TV I have heard of the movie Fried green tomatoes but don't know what it was about?/ something like the Waltons
with every thing all fine and dandy maybe i
'am thinking of something else
"Evelyn Couch is having trouble in her marriage, and no one seems to take her seriously. While in a nursing home visiting relatives, she meets Ninny Threadgoode, an outgoing old woman, who tells her the story of Idgie Threadgoode, a young woman in 1920's Alabama. Through Idgie's inspiring life, Evelyn learns to be more assertive and builds a lasting friendship of her own with Ninny."
Sort of the Waltons feel to it. Let me know if you try them Lost. We have them here with other vegetables. They go great with corn and lima beans. A little fried chicken and you have a great meal and a diabetic nightmare. I forgot the mashed potatoesand gravy!
I know I am pushing the envelope, but there was another movie where the people were aparently 'too old fashion' for the visitors and they had problems with the people dancing which also reminded me of the Waltons although they went too far and the people from out of town went the other way too far so maybe I am taking this far. It seems the Waltons ate a ton of veggies and many healthy foods for diabetics with sweets on ocassions although not for health problems, but because they often couldn't afford the sweets which costs too much.
Lesa I to loved the movie Fried Green Tomatoes although I wouldn't recommend the barbecue at the restaurant.
Vernon Good nite John Boy:-]
Great article Lost
Good point Vernon! "Country people" ate more vegetables. I can remenber my grandmother using bacon grease to season everything. Not so healthy, but it sure was good! Fried corn was out of this world and went with the fried green tomatoes.
You've made me hungry Lost!
I hope no one has a flood of mouth water watering unless you live in West Texas, they need rain.
