I don't know what to do... My friends don't understand why I don't just extricate myself from this incredibly toxic relationship with my mother. The ties to my mother are rooted like a 200yr-old oak tree. So... We had a horrible fight about a month ago, and we haven't spoken since.
I was once very, very close to my mother.
and now... I feel like I'm in mourning, but she lives 5 miles away, and she's very much alive. So perhaps you understand the guilt.
We've had some epic fights before, but I never believed I would consider letting go.
her volatility was like this since I was 13.
we used to do everything together, and now we have nothing in common.
the fact that she's a #mags supporter supporters makes reconciliation seem unlikely anytime soon.
