I met B at A's church (he goes to a different school). B is one of A's friends. A told me that she heard from another friend who heard from B that he liked me. So I messaged B on Instagram. It was just a simple hi. B read the message, but didn't respond. I thought that maybe he didn't recognize the username since my username is a mixture of my nickname, my middle name, and my birthday. So I messaged B again and said that this is (my name) by the way. I'm A's friend, I go to VBS with her. And again, B read it, but never responded. I talked to A about it and she messaged B. The next day, A came up to me and told me that before I messaged him, B had gotten back together with his exgirlfriend, and she wasn't letting him respond to me. Here is my problem. Why would he get back together with a girl who is trying to control him? A said that maybe she blackmailed B. Is A lying to me about B getting back together with his ex? Is it because he never liked me in the first place? Or did he realize that he doesn't like me in that way? I wouldn't normally doubt A, but A is more of a protector. She tries to protect her friends feelings as much as she can. Is that what's happening? Am I overanalyzing the whole thing?
