Dating is hard work and for me with a chronic illness, even worst, my strength goes on survival and my work. I wonder if anyone feels this way?

I managed to find a persistent someone to, love, care, help, support and cherish me, and who I eventually grew to trusted, despite stress, moving, illness, trails after trial, we over came it all. It was not easy. Any way now we are not talking and are having a "break" due to a simple communication error. My first thoughts are to leave it to cool, but tension never was my strong point. I am not sure what to do. Any ideas?

I am still having flashbacks of my marriage, it was abusive and not the best, I was hurt badly but I do not wish for this to affect my new relationships. I would like to know how others feel. I feel lost presently with it all.
