I have! I have fibro, RA and gastroparesis as a result of a medical error when my gallbladder was removed. Both of my dogs, Meg and Rudy, are certified therapy dogs but I am definitely their #1 patient.

My dog seems to know when I have a bad day, I have fibro,PMR,OA,long term side effects of chemo.
I do not take pain meds, and are as active as posible,but those days I can not move because of pain,he is right next to me.

Such a cutie pie! My 'puppy' still thinks she's that big, but Wyn is a 90 lb lab mix. Still tries to sit on my lap, my arm, my head... you get it. I love every minute! How old is your baby? I can't imagine how you manage but I'm glad you have a dogbert to love.

Are you able to play ball. I'm whispering as Wyn knows the B-word. I even tried to say 'round thing' instead of ball but she caught onto that too! Amaz. When we play ball (shhhh), I tell her where to find it. She knows right, left, straight, back... She's smarter than me most days!

Mine just had his 10 b/day, we filled a bag with his gifts,and he gets inside to grab them, we have a big problem with his food bowls,when he was a puppy we bought a hearth blue shape bowls on a stand, after all this years, being ceramic, one broke, the other is all patched, we tried all sorts of bowls, he will not eat from them,we can not replace them because the company went under and there is no where to be found,I searched all over.
He dosent like to play ball, he likes baby soft toys, specially if they play music or talk,loves to watch TV, dislikes bikes and police,on Tv or for real,no idea why.
He has small balls that he plays with and make noise, but he hides them if we dared try to play ball with him. He sleeps a lot.

That's so opposite of our Wynny in the ball way. She is CRAZY about balls. Must be her labrador genes, aye? Our Wyn HATES football. I think because my husband gets really vocal for some reason (he says it's a mystery to us women and he's right about me!).

He is a Shih Tzu,he prefers cats,and to be on ones lap.
Animals have likes and dislikes, just like us.
Labs are playful, we had one for 17 years,she will trow her food bowl at my feet if empty,she had a tiny dog toy that treated like a puppy. That time it was her, a Lhasa Apso and two cats,they were great, we lost all 4 in a month,age,illness,the last one the vet told us was sorrow of losing his buddies.

You're so right - they're individuals for sure.

OH MY GOSH! I can't image the pain you must have been in losing all 4 in a month. I'm so sorry for you.

I've had many, many, many pets over the years but Wynny is like my soulmate. Not sure if it's because she was with me when I got sick or if now that I can't have kids, she's become my child. But I treasure her every day. I dread life without her. I can't even think of it!

Does your Shih Tzu carry around his toys, like in the picture? TTFN

He does,and also puts them back in the several baskets he has, he brings his coat or sweater to go out.He learned all by himself,he likes to spread his favorite ones and go to sleep in the middle of them.
My pets that passed, were of similar age,over 16 years old.
I have children and grand ones, but this wonderful companion has helped me a lot, I lost my beloved mother 18 months ago and he is there when I start crying.
Animals are God gift to us.

I agree - they are a gift and a miracle. I'd love to put sweaters on my Wyn but she's way too big! Like 90 lbs too big. Hope you are enjoying this wonderful day! Nibbor

The Chow Chow we had also did not like to wear anything,maybe because they are larger,she was very dainty,will put a paw on the grass and if it was wet, no way she would walk on it.

We have 3 resues, 2 Black Labs & Black Lab/Boxer Mix. I have Parkinson's Disease and they are the best medicine. They do seem to know when your feeling bad. The lab/boxer mix we trained to be a service dog. Very smart and loving. His name is Billy. Sammy is the oldest and full of arthritis. We started him on medicine and he feels better. Bonnie the newest, just one week. She is about one, and won't leave your side for very long. not sure of herself yet in her new forever home. But when I look into their eyes, Thats medicine for me.

I may be prejudice but I LOVE black labs! So glad that you were able to rescue three sweet souls. How do you manage to take care of them all? My Wynny is the runt (at 86lbs!) and quite timid. She gets jealous of us even petting the cat! And if her sister (lives next door) comes over, she just fades into the background. So we decided it was better to have just her for now. My girl Dixie is not one of my very best friends in this world but is truly the medicine I need. I have stage 3 muscle invasive BC and through my chemo she has been the one thing that is a constant help to me. She don't say a word she just loves. When I need her close she is there and when I just need space she is more than happy to just lay nearby til I need her close again. Some days I honestly don't know what I would do without her. Pitt-bulls get such a bad rap but she would turn anyone into a lover.
