I have not ridden in long long long time...more as a teenager on neighbors farm with their horses...I remember they had the bolt for the barn attitude sometimes...one time I came across a draw and the horse I was riding bolted for the barn and exhaled and saddle slipped sideways on him I was holding on for dear life...and finally decided to jump off in middle of a hay field...we were a mile from barn too...LOL I think he got all the way to barn before stopping...my neighbors tried to catch him and I do not remember if they did...or not...LOL

I tried to gauge whether my Singles over 50 meetup group I was organizer of was interested in taking a fall to early winter ride at a horse barn that does trail rides but one person who knew the barn said she would never ride there....she was experienced with horses enough to stay away and kept us away...now I no longer am an organizer of that group of meetup and it is no longer just singles...changed to 50+ friends now...LOL

Haha, yes the first horse I was put on to learn how to ride had the same kind of attitude. There was maybe a dozen of us riding in a field together whenever I rode this horse (his name was Hollywood) and we called him a bulldozer because he liked to plow into other horses and sometimes graze my leg on a fence or my head on a tree branch.... He'd also like to bolt for the hitching posts... oh boy... but he sure did teach me a lot. As I got to be a better rider our relationship got better. Poor old guy's out there giving someone else a hard time now lol
