what does this verse tell us. are we to pray 24/7? I do not think do. I believe this verse means we should continually pray and do not stop.
this verse could mean a person is persistent in prayer until they see an answer to their prayer. remember the parable Jesus gave in Luke 13:5 where a woman was asking a judge to hear her. it took many times going before the judge until he finally gave in because of her persistence in asking.
so we learn to never stop praying.

I think that is wrong! Prayer should be the first thing we do in the morning. And all the praying in the world does not make up for meeting with Christ the first thing in the morning, and dedicating our day to him!
A goal for me. I do pray a lot in the latter part of the day. It's morning that remains my challenge.
