Where to start. My Nan has always been selfish, she had everything done for her. When my Dad was had a bad spell of depression he was in a mental hospital she never went up to see him.My Brother and myself would go with Mum and Grandad and we would come home in tears. We was never aloud to tell her what Dad was really like so not to upset her but it was alright for my Grandad to watch his Son,my Mum to watch her Husband and my Brother and I to see our Dad.If things didn't go here way she sulked. It wasn't until Grandad passed away in 2002 that i relised how selfish my Nan is.She would moan if she had made him something to eat and he didn't want it.When he was taken into hospital my Mum done everything she just sat there.I sound like i'm being hard but it gets worse.Grandad died in the hospice that Dad ended up in.Postrate Cancer.
This time last year we found out Dad had lung cancer,so we knew last Christmas would be our last one with him.So we all made the best of it.Dad used to ring Nan a few times aday, she Never rang when she knew we had hospital appointments, never just ring to see what the ellenor team had said when they had been round. In the end Dad had a job speakig at times so Mum would have to ring and she didn't like that"oh i thought it would be you tell him to get off of his lazy arse"or "your late" not thinking that Mum would be sorting dad out. Also she didn't want to come up for Christmas with us,hadn't seen her Son for 3 months and couldn't make the effort and she made a big thing about not going to Dad's funeral well that just about done it for me.She never saw him.I have washed my hands of her.
So Mum has asked her up this Christmas and she wants to come,i do not want her there, why now and not last year. It's going to be hard enough without us having to worry aBOUT HER,IT'S PROBABLY BECAUSE SHE WILL GET ALL THE ATTENTION AS DAD HAD GONE.THAT'S THE TYPE OF PERSON SHE IS.She is in her 80's but has nothing wrong with her unlike my Nan of 94 who has and she never moans.
I'm sorry i've rambled on but i just can't forgive or forget.
