So Surgery has taken place on Oct 22 2014. My wife's Adrenal glands removal surgery went well, no complications. The battle was several days after the surgery at home. They removed her from ketacortisone and several other blood pressure meds and put her directly on Cortisone 100 mg and florefern 0.5 mg for her intake a day and after 4 days had her down to 50 mg a day , and that is where all problems started. She was crashed with low energy and lack of mobility, not from the surgery but from the dosage as she was directed to stay at these levels for several weeks. As direct she did so , and things only got worse, swelling of her ext remedies nausea and lack of appetite. After a couple weeks doctors jumped her back up to 90 mg per day and she rebounded. We are now 5 weeks out of surgery and she is at an intake of 50 mg a day of cortisone and still 0.5 mg of florefern. optimal levels are 20-30 mg a day. Her body is showing signs of reversing the cushions symptoms. She still battles quick bough's of nausea and fatigue but are becoming further and further apart. She does not complain of pressure to the abdomen anymore and can notice the buffalo hump and pads on the face decreasing in size. Still puzzled as to why all this happened in the first place as they have still yet to figure out the root of her cushions. She wanted me to post and give others who may be at this point of there disease some hope or insite as to what she went through and what may help others. She will be more then glad to share anything.
