Except for the last line. I don't believe that anything we do or are, can add to the value that we were already born with.
Within that, it's our connections to others that gives meaning to life.

Therefore, I think both you and Patti have a view similar, where as the difference is merely in potential, recognition, and perspective, a label so to speak.
Quite an interesting play of words. Thank you V. It has me thinking. I am reminded of an old story about toys that were made and never played with by children.
which is where Patti's view came to mind. once the thing is identified and perceived as something, it's value is made so by interaction. even a treasured piece of art never touched must have someone to look at it.
ah, so much comes to mind... thank you both for giving me something to wax about. triple hugs~
I agree with you though when I wrote this today, it was from a place of despair, from that place where body, heart, mind and soul can take no more and just yearn for the absence of everything.
From nothing comes no thing and from no thing comes as you said the potential to become something. I want to be no thing again, undefined so that I can create myself anew into something of worth, and know peace again.

I'm just going to say...I like hearing what other people are thinking, and talking about what I am thinking too. I don't think that we need to "agree". It's the differences in how each of our eyes "see" that gives us depth perception. That's how I approach these conversations.
I don't think that I'm alone or special in thinking this way. I'm just throwing this out here because sometimes it's hard to understand intent over the internet.
Gently talking about this stuff is fun.
For me the only way to truly empathize and to learn is to listen and be open to another’s perspective and perception of things. If there is one fear I refuse to let go of, it is to become closed in my mind and not able to see a different perception of the world. I fear losing the ability to be accepting and willing to see all sides and accept all perspectives as just as valid and right as my own. I fear if I lose that ability I will lose the ability to truly learn and embrace wisdom through the wisdom and experiences of others. Knowledge comes from the comparison of opposites and wisdom is understanding that there are many perceptions that all are valid and worthy of exploring.

Tired today...lack of sleep and busy...brain mush.
