oops---we are all on different time zones--- i checked it out & it says 7pm so to my way of thinking that is east coast time.
at this point it starts is 10 minutes here in mountain standard time

does anyone know time zones that if it starts at 7pm EST (eastern standard time) what time is that in the rest of the world

Jarca, I put the time zones on the other discussion page!! But if I remember it is 2:00 alaska. 3:00 Pacific 4::00 mountain ,5:00 central ,6:00 eastern and 7:00 Atlantic I watched the entire debate, it was very interesting, and I hope others watched it. I even learnrd a little bit.....Bed time now, I will comment tomorrow..

There are many religious people, including Christians, that do not believe the universe is only 6,000 years old - or an earthly 4,000 if you count time after the great flood. I doubt anyone's mind was changed watching the Nye-Ham debate.

As Mr. Ham said, it does not matter what you believe in regards to how old the earth is, it matters if you believe in a Creator, and His Word. But how our children are being taught in school is very important, because they are being led to believe they are no more significant than a splat from the big bang, rather than a unique, loved , soul. Mr. Nye kept asking for evidence, and Mr. Ham kept telling him to read the BOOK.
Mr. Nye said how could a man with no skills build a boat that large that would not sink? He asked several questions, the same questions folks have been asking for years. What people seem to forget is , in those days God walked the earth , and spoke with people, and in my opinion, as long as God was giving the instructions, they would not fail.
Mr. Nye said how the scientist determined the age of the earth, and Mr. Ham pointed out that at one test, a 5,000 year old piece of wood was encased in a 8,00 year old rock...each lab comes up with different dates on things.
And lastly, I have no idea if it has been 4,000 years since the great flood, but it seems no one is counting the years before that. It took Noah almost 100-300 years to build the ark. It was not over night as Mr. Nye says, but I don,t remember the exact time, but it was over 100 years.
If anything, the debate proved that the world and the universe and all living creatures were created, not evolved from whatever.
Neither side will have the perfect answer, because neither side was there to take notes when the world was created . But as Mr Ham said, if you want proof, read the Book....
