How many of us go swimming or in a pool to relax or cool off?

I go once a week for-aqua aerobic.Few people there have COPD.

I used to when I would vaca a some place with a pool.. long tubing and a perfect spot on a floaty the last time.. just couldn't really swim anymore :(
.. have seen lots of folks in other groups who swim still and have modified waterproof containers for their portable O2.. ANY exercise that keeps ya moving is good for us and lots of others have said swimming was much easier for them than other exercise.
My vote.. as long as your moving they can't bury ya :)

Hmmmm....as heavy as my portable O2 is, I think it would sink me. LOL. I would love to go swimming unless it would mean having to put on a bathing suit.

I use my sisters pool and find no problems except getting short of breath.
Now wondering when I do go on O2. can I finally SCUBA DIVE.

Today was my first day of Aqua Fit, no others in my class have COPD but we are all seniors. Most are in good shape. I found, being my first day, when I tried moving my legs in the water, I went no where. Neither forward nor backwards. By the end of the class, I was moving a few inches, I just know this is good for me. I can't swim anymore, I don't move forward or anywhere, but I bet in a couple of weeks I will. I did run out of breath a couple of times, then I just floated on my back.
