Had my 6 month doctor visit and all was as good as could be for severe emphysema. He is sending .e to get a scan done on my lungs to check for cancer. Anyone else here have had or familure with the scan.

Glad you got a good report Flash.

I had an MRI recently and they found several things along with the intended area. That will be a good thing for you, if there is something that needs to be tended to they will catch it.

Glad the visit was as good as it can be Nod... yup.. had scans.. always find a new lump or bump but nothing that changes much on the next one.. we get all types of weird blebs and stuff... always good to get a check out though.

CAT scans are quick and you don't have to be 'in the tube'. So happy that all the tests came back good.

I had 2 MRI's on Friday, I got there early and the tech noticed I was scheduled for another one in May. She told me the person before me didn't show so how's about we do both today. OK by me, now I don't have to go back. Covered my eyes, cause I'm a wee claustrophobic in the tube.

I have had all kinds of scans, the regular with contrast injected iv for lungs . A pet scan for cancer is a bit different, the contrast is different and it takes much longer, I don't remember but it lights up any cancer in the scan

PET scan, CAT scan! Sounds like stuff you'd get from a veterinarian.
