Figure out why you lie. People often develop the habit of lying from a very early age. Perhaps you learned as a child that you could get your way more often if you lied, and you continued the practice as a teenager and beyond as a way to navigate the difficult situations we all encounter in life. Knowing the root cause of your lying is the first step to making a change.
Because really without that there's no way to rescue anything.
In my own life right now I am just trying to rescue friendships with the people that I've wronged in my lying. I have no idea if that will work or not. But I am trying.
Much like any other addiction the only way that you can prove to anyone that you're better is by not doing the thing that has caused the problems. However as I'm sure you know lying is a difficult thing to prove run prove. It makes the other people involved have to constantly be checking up on you. And that can be very tiresome for both of them and you. I know it is for me. I hate that that is the process I have to go through but it is the only way to move forward.
Sorry that I couldn't be more help.
